PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pittsburgh Steelers will hold a pre-draft visit with one of the top centers available in this year’s NFL Draft as they seek to fill a void in their offensive line.
The Steelers have a clear target in West Virginia’s Zach Frazier, who they’ll hold a top 30 visit with before draft day, according to a report from Bleacher Report’s Ryan Fowler. Frazier will also meet with the Chicago Bears, who formally met with him at the NFL Combine alongside the Bengals, Lions, Cowboys, Buccaneers, Chargers and Dolphins.
Frazier was a two-time All-American and three-time All-Big XII selection for the Mountaineers during his college career. He showed his durability by making 47 straight appearances, 46 of which were starts. Frazier allowed just one sack over the past two years and four over his four-year career at West Virginia.
The Steelers cut starting center Mason Cole earlier this offseason and while free agency could be an avenue they explore for a replacement, the NFL Draft will be stocked with plenty of quality centers and Frazier is one of the best available at his position.
