PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pittsburgh Steelers landed former Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon off of waivers, according to the NFL’s transaction wire. The move is set to take place after the Super Bowl, at which time, Moon will officially join Pittsburgh’s roster.
Moon signed with the Ravens as undrafted free agent last spring and spent the preseason with Baltimore before being cut. He was signed to their practice squad but did not play a game during his rookie year.
He signed a reserve/future deal with the Ravens this summer and again landed on their practice squad for the 2023 season. He was eventually signed to the 53-man roster, playing in four games, including one start as a contributor on defense and special teams.
In total this season, Moon played eight games, recording 12 tackles, one tackle for loss and two forced fumbles.
The Florida alum will have a chance to compete for a roster spot in Pittsburgh this summer. The team currently holds three outside linebackers in T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig, as Markus Golden is set to hit free agency.
