PITTSBURGH,PA — The Pittsburgh Steelers are making an offensive trade, sending offensive lineman Kevin Dotson to the Los Angeles Rams, according to ESPN’s Brooke Pryor.
Dotson, the Steelers’ fourth-round pick in 2020, has played 39 games for Pittsburgh, including 30 starts. However, with the additions of Isaac Seumalo and Nate Herbig this spring, the need for Dotson fell, allowing the team to seek a trade partner.
According to Pryor, the Steelers receive the Rams’ 2024 fourth-round pick and their 2025 fifth-round pick, while sending LA their 2024 fifth-round and 2025 sixth-round picks, along with Dotson.
Without Dotson, the Steelers will look for another option at guard this season. Kendrick Green, the team’s 2021 third-round pick, could be their top candidate after starting in their final preseason game while Dotson, Herbig and James Daniels were out with injuries.
Green has experience at both center and guard, and played backup center throughout most of training camp.
