PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pittsburgh Steelers have their 90-man roster in place, but like every summer, changes are going to be made. Former linebacker Vince Williams believes he knows what that first change will be.
After an impressive season with the Pittsburgh Maulers in the USFL, Williams believes fellow inside linebacker Reuben Foster is the next player to sign with the Steelers.
Foster finished the 2023 season with 53 tackles and an interception, and had seven tackles, a sack and a tackle for loss in the team’s championship loss to the Birmingham Stallions.
The Steelers recently added a sixth inside linebacker to their roster, signing former Las Vegas Raider Nick Kwiatkoski. However, last summer, they carried seven inside backers with them to training camp, and are currently keeping starter Cole Holcomb on a pitch count as he recovers from foot surgery.
So, if there was a position they should add to, inside linebacker is likely it.
As for where they can create space, the Steelers currently have 13 wide receivers and 11 defensive backs on their roster. They also have seven offensive guards and seven offensive tackles, so finding room shouldn’t be much of a challenge.
So what do you think… Should the Steelers sign Reuben Foster?
