PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pittsburgh Steelers let Cam Sutton head to the Detroit Lions in free agency only to replace him with All-Pro corner Patrick Peterson.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Steelers are inking Peterson to a deal as he’s set to play in his 13th season. The three-time All-Pro has made eight Pro Bowls in his career and will now look to be a bridge piece for Pittsburgh’s cornerback room.
Peterson heads to Pittsburgh to join Levi Wallace, Ahkello Witherspoon, James Pierre and Arthur Maulet. He brings 34 interceptions and 610 tackles with him to the Steelers’ locker room.
He had five interceptions last season for the Minnesota Vikings.
Financial details have not yet been released, but All Steelers will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
