PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers could be without three cornerbacks in Week 8 as they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Following the release of their final practice report, Joey Porter Jr., Levi Wallace and James Pierre are all questionable with injuries.

Pierre didn’t pop up on the team’s injury report until the final day of practice, but did suffer an ankle injury that is going to keep him sidelined. It’s unknown what the specifics of the injury will be or how long he’s expected to miss outside of Week 8.

Wallace started the week on the sidelines but slowly worked his way back from a foot injury. He never had a full day of practice, leaving his participation come game day as a question mark.

Porter Jr. suffered a calf injury during the week and was limited the final two days of practice. He told reporters he’d be set to play against the Jaguars, but is now a game-time decision for Pittsburgh.

To adjust to the injuries, the Steelers began utilizing Darius Rush and Luq Barcoo at practice. Barcoo said he doesn’t know whether or not he’ll be activated from the practice squad for the game, but he did confirm he was taking reps with the first team in practice.

Rush said he expects to play, making his NFL debut against the Jaguars.

“You just got to be prepared every week,” Rush said. “Taking the reps I took this week, I just got to be really prepared for when my number’s called, and when my number’s called, go out there and execute at a high level and meet the standard that they have here.”
