PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pittsburgh Steelers are releasing inside linebacker Myles Jack after signing two free agents within the position, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and then Steelers on Twitter.

Jack held an $11 million cap hit entering his second year with the Steelers. After his release, Pittsburgh saves $8 million. They have signed former Miami Dolphin Elandon Roberts and former Washington Commander Cole Holcomb.

During Jacks’ single season with the Steelers, he played in 15 games, including 13 starts and recorded 104 tackles, three tackles for loss and three pass deflections. He suffered a groin injury late in the season, forcing the team to move to Robert Spillane and rookie Mark Robinson as the starters.

With the move, the Steelers now have Holcomb, Roberts and Mark Robinson under contract at inside linebacker.
