PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pittsburgh Steelers made a roster move this week, adding some special teams depth ahead of a trip to Buffalo to play the Bills on Wild Card Weekend.
The Steelers announced that they have brought back punter Brad Wing, signing him to the practice squad for the second time this season.
Wing spent two games punting for the Steelers earlier this year when starting punter Pressley Harvin was dealing with an injury. He played in two games – a Week 4 contest at the Houston Texans and Week 5 meeting with the Baltimore Ravens.
He kicked 11 times over those two games, averaging 38.9 net yards per punt, landing three punts inside the 20-yard line and accounting for two touchbacks.
Wing has some experience with the Steelers, having appeared in 16 games for them during the 2014 season, during which he averaged 43.7 yards per punt and landed 20 kicks inside the opponent 20-yard line.
The former undrafted free agent out of LSU has made stops with the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants during his career as well.
